Red and Green Abstract
This is an abstract painting with organic circular shapes and layers of paint. The main colors are green and red with layers beneath of other colors, such as blue and pink. With my abstract art collection, I am exploring color, texture, shape and mark-making.
Acrylic paint on canvas, dimensions: 16 inches by 20 inches, 40.64 cm x 50.8 cm.
I love to paint abstract intuitive art, where I just listen to music and paint however I am feeling. Sometimes I have ideas that form the basis of the colors or shapes (like flowers or certain colors I want to paint together) but many times I just start painting and see where that takes me. I love the freedom of beginning an abstract painting.
*Note: I leave the sides (edges) of my paintings unfinished, I also do not varnish my paintings (I avoid adding any unnecessary chemicals to any of my work). Finally, I do not have any hanging wire on the back of the paintings so that when purchased, the owner can easily have them framed or display them the way they prefer.
