Framed Abstract Mixed-Media FALL COLORS 3
This is an abstract painting using fall colors and black sharpie marker lines on velvet upholstery fabric, framed in a light color wood frame. With my abstract art collection, I am exploring color, texture, shape and mark-making.
Acrylic paint, sharpie marker on VELVET upholstery fabric, 12 inches x 16 inches oak wood frame with plexiglass from the brand HAUS AND HUES.
I love to paint abstract intuitive art, where I just listen to music and paint however I am feeling. Sometimes I have ideas that form the basis of the colors or shapes (like flowers or certain colors I want to paint together) but many times I just start painting and see where that takes me. I love the freedom of beginning an abstract painting.
*Note: I leave the sides (edges) of my paintings unfinished, I also do not varnish my paintings (I avoid adding any unnecessary chemicals to any of my work). Finally, I do not have any hanging wire on the back of the paintings so that when purchased, the owner can easily have them framed or display them the way they prefer.
